The desire of every business owner is to get awareness and generate sales.

Whether through direct marketing or any other form, sales remain the goal.

In this article, we will focus on how to make content that sells on social media.

Social Media and Content

Content is the oxygen of Social Media.

This is true because social media eats and breathes content.

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, TikTok, Snapchat, and Twitter all of the other platforms you know, are all worthless without content.

In view of this, everyone in today’s world needs to know how to create content that sells on social media.

Value Is Everything!

Nobody and I mean nobody, is mandated to listen to anything you have to say except you are talking value!

Value is the ticket to getting anyone’s attention.

So social media has become a boisterous marketplace and meaningful messages are the only way to get noticed.

The idea is to get the attention first!

Once you get people’s attention

This is the foundation of any successful marketing strategy!

Take a look at this perspective for one second…

There are so many problems in the world today – from terminal diseases, unemployment, fear of being hit by lightning, and a billion other natural disasters we watch on CNN every day.

These are real thoughts that occupy people’s minds. So, if you must get any of their attention, you must be really good at your game.

Creating a problem-solving, value-offering post or advertisement that can capture 3 seconds of anyone’s attention, is what the game of marketing is all about.

Steal that golden moment!

Educate them on how you can solve their challenges!!

Keep their eyes fixed on your value proposition…

…and you’re sure to win anyone over.

NOBODY REALLY CARES…

There is no emotion in business.

Do you think those people on Facebook and Instagram care about your business if they are not getting some exciting offers?

Some weeks ago, I had a strategy session with a start-up founder and I used certain words that caught them off guard.

I said, “the end-user doesn’t care about your product or service until you show them that you care about their needs and aspirations.”

Yeah! why should they care?

Another good illustration is this.

I don’t expect you to read this piece of content to the end, but if I ever achieve that, it can only mean you got some value in this blog.

Maybe it gave some answers to questions that have been in your head.

Just maybe…

That is what MARKETING is!

And that’s what makes it hard and super realistic at the same time.

It is hard because you must humanize your marketing strategy, crush it until it is relevant, and triggers an action.

It is super cool because you are impacting lives and building a brand through value-based marketing.

Yes, it is a game of value.

Never forget that.

As a content marketer you must ask yourself two questions;

Am I Fixing A Pain?

Every good product or service today is a solution to a challenge.

Let’s say you found the cure to cancer.

Or you promote a weight loss solution in just one pill.

Think about it.

What about a loan with zero interest spread over a billion years?

This is value!

These values will give you attention and sales.

Am I Offering Something Aspirational?

We all aspire or dream to have or become something. Right?

Some people want to be rock stars.

While some people dream to ride big cars…

Some others desire a diamond ring…

For some, they spend a lifetime desiring to own a yacht so they travel all around the world in it.

TV reality shows, game shows, music, and entertainment, in general, have done an amazing job in this area. They market a lifestyle to you in a fun and informative way – once they have your attention, they can sell you almost anything. Yes, anything!

Value is life! Marketing success is predicated on how much value is in your offer. What is in it for them?!

If a customer finds something in your offer, go to sleep – the deal is done!

CONCLUSION

I hope this content got you pumped up with some value.

Now go and re-engineer your marketing, think about the customer alone through this process.

Ask yourself, am I solving a problem?

Or am I helping someone believe in their dreams?

Value is a scroll stopper anytime, any day!

This is marketing that works!
